Trimlight East Idaho is a veteran-owned, family-built business with roots going back to the very beginning of the Trimlight movement in Idaho.
What started with a father's vision in 2011 has grown into East Idaho's premier permanent lighting company — carried forward by his son, a military veteran, with a dedicated team and a relentless focus on quality.
Where It All Started
Cliff Sermon — Founder
In 2011, just one year after Trimlight was founded in Utah, Cliff Sermon saw the potential and became one of the very first Trimlight dealers in the country — launching Trimlight Southeast Idaho.
For nearly a decade, Cliff built the dealership from the ground up — installing systems himself, building relationships with homeowners, and proving that permanent lighting was the future.
Though partially retired, Cliff still helps out from time to time — and his experience and knowledge continue to be an invaluable part of the family.
Austin Sermon — Owner & Operator
Growing up, Austin would help his dad Cliff on Trimlight jobs — learning the trade firsthand. After serving in the U.S. military and completing his service in 2019, Austin knew he wanted to build something of his own.
In 2020, Austin bought into the business and launched his own Trimlight territory across East Idaho. With the discipline and drive forged through military service, he quickly grew his operation.
When Cliff stepped back into partial retirement, Austin merged both dealerships into one: Trimlight East Idaho. Today he leads a dedicated team, with hundreds of completed installations and a reputation built on quality and trust.

Austin Sermon

Cliff Sermon
“Where it all began”
Started Trimlight Southeast Idaho in 2011 as one of the first dealers in the country. Partially retired, but still shows up when it counts — because that's just who Cliff is.
Diane Sermon
