Best Time to Install Permanent Lighting in Idaho

If you're thinking about getting permanent lighting installed on your East Idaho home, timing matters. Idaho's climate creates unique installation windows — and knowing when to schedule can save you money, get you a faster install date, and ensure you're lit up in time for the holidays.

The Off-Season Advantage: Spring & Summer

The best time to install Trimlight in East Idaho is spring through early fall (April–September). Here's why:

• Shorter wait times — our schedule is more open
• Better weather for installation crews
• Promotional discounts often available in the off-season
• You're ready to go before the holiday rush hits
• More flexibility on installation dates

Peak Season: October–December

October through December is our busiest time of year. During peak season, installation wait times can stretch to 7–8 weeks. If you want lights up for Thanksgiving or Christmas, you need to book by early October at the latest.

We do our best to accommodate everyone, but we can't guarantee holiday availability for last-minute requests. The earlier you book, the better.

What About Winter Installs?

We can install in winter, but Idaho winters present challenges. Frozen rooflines, icy conditions, and extreme cold can slow down the process and create safety concerns. We'll always prioritize crew safety — which can mean rescheduling if conditions aren't right.
